Production so far

I have started creating my newspaper. the production so far is going to plan I have almost created the front page all I need is to add a picture for the main story. On the first double page I have created a story that links in with the main story. To complete it I need to write the article for the main story and take photographs for it, I also need to write an article for the right hand column, again it will link in with the main story. On the second double page spread I have written an article for the small space on the righ hand page. Also for the main story on the right hand page I have taken the images that I need for it. For the left hand page I need to take the images and write the article and promotion.

Final stages of planning

I am now at the final stages of planning. So far I have looked at local papers and identified the generic conventions and written about how the attract their target audiences and why are effective. I also have produced a draft layout and listed possible stories that I will include in the newspaper I am going to produce. The next stage is to come up with designs and styles for the newspapers and write opening paragraphs for the stories I am thinking of including.

Planning stage one

As part of my planning I have looked at existing newspapers and identified the conventions they use and the way the conventions are used as a way of getting customers to buy the newspaper. By looking at exisiting newspapers and identifying the generic conventions it will allow me to see how my newspaper should look and the conventions that I need to implement to follow the similar layout of local newspapers

Chosen brief

The brief I have chosen is the print brief which requires producing four pages of a new local newspaper. To get started I am going to research local newpapers and look at the conventions that they use, to gain an idea of what the common conventions are that I need to include in my own newspaper.
